Worn Out? Supporting Those with Change Fatigue

2020 has thrown a lot at us! Including a pandemic, pivoting on how we do our jobs, racial reckoning, and a contentious election. Most people are experiencing more stress, anxiety, and weariness than ever before. This training will assist you in identifying the various stress levels and their impact using the Stress First Aid model, how to support and intervene when you or a colleague is struggling and techniques to build our resilience.

Objectives

  1. Participants will be exposed to the Stress First Aid Continuum.
  2. Participants will learn skills to support themselves and their peers when facing significant levels of stress.
  3. Participants will explore tools that will help to build their resilience.

Manager @YOU Matter Staff Support Program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital

Kristy DeVries, MSW, LISW-S, is the manager of the YOU Matter Staff Support Program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital where she started in January 2020. What a time to start a new job! The YOU Matter program provides support to NCH staff by providing crisis interventions, resiliency coaching, and many other therapeutic interventions allowing staff to experience a higher level of well-being. Prior to NCH, Kristy was the Ohio Assistant Executive Director at Specialized Alternatives for Families and youth. Having 30 years of work in child welfare and behavioral health, she has passion for making kids’ and family’s lives better.

Evaluations will be distributed within 24 hours. Evaluation must be completed to receive CE credits. Certificates will be available to download once the once the evaluation is received.

This training is approved for CE for social workers, counselors, and marriage and family therapists in the state of Ohio. This training is approved for chemical dependency counselors in domain C#. This training is approved for prevention specialists in domain P#.
