Psychoeducation, Assessment, & Treatment

Join The Ohio State University College of Social Work for a free webinar on a research-based perspective on trauma-informed care used in a clinical setting. Participants will develop and strengthen their understanding of how to assess for trauma and how it is impacting clients’ lives, increase client motivation for participating in long-term change by learning how to educate the client on trauma, reduce trauma symptoms by increasing the client’s coping and grounding skills, and improve their repertoire for trauma informed care interventions.

Objectives:

  • Participants will learn at least 3 strategies to assess for trauma and will learn the basic functioning of the brain and how it is impacted by trauma
  • Participants will be able to provide at least 5 coping/grounding skills for their clients.
  • Participants will learn at least 5 interventions for working with clients impacted by trauma.
