Organizational Development: What Behavioral Health Providers Need to Know

Join The Ohio State University College of Social Work for a free webinar on the study of successful organizational change and performance stemming from the understanding that organizational structures and processes influence worker behavior and motivation. This 2-hour session will cover foundational information that behavioral health professionals need to know about organizational development. Participants will learn why organizational development is important and will be provided a description of 18 different organizational development techniques. All learning will be grounded in the context of real-world examples that demonstrate organizational development’s applicability to behavioral health providers and agencies.

Objectives:

  • Define organizational development within the context of behavioral health agencies
  • Explain why active organizational development strategies are important to the viability of behavioral health agencies
  • Identify 18 organizational development strategies that, when conducted strategically, will strengthen the organizational functions of behavioral health agencies
