Addiction is a disease that knows no boundaries. This free 4-hour, self-paced course will build a comprehensive understanding of addiction, explore diagnosis of substance abuse and the criteria for assessment and levels of treatment.
- Explain the definition of addiction in accordance with the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM).
- Understand the diagnosis of substance use disorders.
- Define the basic terminology used to describe the core features of addiction treatment.
This course is constructed as reading-based and noninteractive.
